This closed top thimble is blunt on top and only slightly tapered to the knuckle. The Lily of the Valley motif is a favorite one for Jan.  Her grandma Mildred had a big patch of Lily of the Valley at the end of the porch.  The heavy scent wafted through the neighborhood in the springtime.
